hmmm i would really like to do this upgrade too.. but they don't ship to belgium..
pitty.. i will need to look further.
but good job..
2 questions though..
1) what is the material you inserted.. looks like silicon tubing.. (soft) am i correct? 2) looks like the hole was now smaller then 5 mm.. did you drill the inserted tubing wider?

also a topic of desired upgrade for me..
but those carbon rods are easily obtainable.. or steel or brass or what ever strong material once heart desires. for me the mayor problem is getting normal priced rod end bearings.
i can find them.. @10 euro per piece.. and since i we'll need 12 pcs.. well a little bit overboard but the thing about bearings is.. if you don't know you can trust the brand (if there is one) you don't know what you get unless you can feel the bearing or have a dependable source.
these rod end bearing do look good i must add. so any chance there is a brand or type punched into it you might wanna share with the world? what is your experience?
