Just wondering if anyone has had any troubles printing from SD Card with regards to the print stopping part way through and thinking it's done.
I had a print that was predicted to be about 4 hours long, it got about 20% of the way through and the printer just stopped. The bed and nozzle stayed at temp and the spider stayed at last position, but otherwise the machine behaved as if the print was finished. All menu items were available and Print from SD could technically be selected again. This has happened a few times for me now and the same gcode results in the same behavior, meaning if I simply re-print it ends the same. However, if I connect my computer to the printer and use the same gcode the print succeeds. Gcode is compiled through Cura in the RepetierHost interface.
Any ideas?
Thanks...

Re-sliced it, saved it to the SD card again, and this time it made it about 50% of the way through before prematurely completing... Odd indeed.

The FAT filesystem in 3D firmware may have limitations. These can include card size, FAT size and filename conventions.
I format my (micro)SDCards which are 4GB maximum with FAT16 filesystem. Filenames are old-fashioned 8.3 and I use uppercase.
Some brands of SDCard have been suggested as better than others. I use SanDisk.
