If you are unaware, there is a Google+ Community for the Geeetech G2/G2S/Pro 3D printer. The G+ community was established before these boards and has a good and active user base. plus.google.com/communities/102777312869306592721Why was this forum started? There has been some criticism of the G+ community: - It is difficult to search the community for old topics
- Only one post can be made "sticky"
- Photos cannot be posted in replies
- Replying to an old post does not automatically "bump" the post to the top of the community
In response, this forum was established. This is not intended to be a replacement for the G+ community. Each community has its merits and you should use the one which makes the most sense for your purposes.
Which community should I use? Google+ or this forum?
It depends on the type of post you are making.
- If you have a simple question which should be easy to answer: Google+
- If you are posting a photo to show off something which should not require much followup from you: Google+
- If you are posting about an ongoing project, and plan to add more photos in the future: Proboards Forum
- If you are posting a how-to which will be useful to others in the future: Proboards Forum
Let me know if you have other tips or information you think I should add here. Thanks!
-Ryan
